I’m Heather Gage-West, a visual artist with a passion for telling stories that often go unspoken. My work is a reflection of vulnerability, intimacy, and empowerment—born from my own journey of healing and self-discovery. Through bold, sensual portraits, I explore themes of connection, resilience, and the quiet strength found in women’s experiences.
Art has always been my voice. It’s where my shyness meets my courage, where emotions that are difficult to put into words find their home. This new series of digital work and paintings—intimate, large-scale emotionally provocative portraits of women—are both an act of rebellion and a declaration of freedom. They challenge societal norms, redefine sensuality, and celebrate the strength of women who have faced intergenerational trauma, abuse, and neglect.
